The time equation – a judgement 1

I’m going to look at the world from space. It’s going to be a bird’s eye view and judgement of the world. But do I need to judge the world? That’s an inappropriate question because I judge the world anyway. There are many things to say when I judge the world. Allow me to look at a few just now. It’d be impossible to not come in some sort of conflict with what most call normality. But it’s fun.

A few days ago I had a long, interesting conversation on the phone. One and a half hours – It was a very nice surprise to talk for that long. But the gods of conversation, on that occasion, allowed us to get very quickly beyond the default conversation blocker. They inspired us to quickly get curious and opinionated. That is not normally difficult but on that occasion we were together and both curiosity and creativity, opinionated and passionate statements were intertwined with revelations and very interesting questions. It was indeed very interesting and inspiring. It brought back and reinforced some of the fundamentals of my thinking. I noticed very quickly how my partner in conversation would launch into judgements and pronouncements. It was mainly about right and wrong on one side and the good and bad on the other side. The main statement was that if you act out of your belief that what you do is good, that doesn’t make it necessarily right. Conversely, if you at any moment do something bad (by someone else’s opinion) that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily wrong.

Now, an instantaneous thought here. A sort of rambling, like any thinking aloud is. Nobody, ever, sets out to do bad things. In the present, when the action takes place, every sane man wants to do good to himself. In hindsight, it may turn out to be bad or it might be bad for others. But that judgement takes place in relation to an event that is in the past and cannot be changed. The judgement is directed mainly in relation to the individual who did the doing. However, usually the responsibility, and rightly so, gets shifted to circumstances, mainly due to the adversary outcome. Had the outcome been judged to as desirable, then we would appropriate the double of one hundred percent at least, and I’m being decent at this point. So, from a very personal, individual perspective, the bad cannot reside in the future or in the present. The bad is always in the past and cannot be changed. It can only be appeased. That proves that the concept of bad is a very week one, a lot weaker than the good. The concept of bad, because it resides in the past by definition and cannot be changed becomes inherently a source of much wastage of expended energies for any of us.
