Has the time come to sit down and write?

After such a long time resisting the urge to get involved in this madness which seems to have engulfed all our politicians and all our media, there I am, facing the truth that I can’t take it any longer.

I had to sit down and write. I’ve always followed politics with interest and with passion. I’ve always judged politicians for their merit, their words and their deeds together. This is not a political essay. This is a judgement and a commentary in which I would like to tell the world how I judge the most important political events of the present. Well, but just for good measure, I won’t write only about politics. I may write about anything else that I feel passionate about. It could be anything. I feel that I have a lot to say, a lot to give, to actually give it away to anybody that may benefit from it. I assure you this is not a consequence of arrogance. It is a consequence of humbleness and duty.

Before I do that, I kindly ask for permission to introduce myself. It is my conviction that any statement of any kind, only has value when is accompanied by the context in which the statement is made and by a presentation of the background of the person that makes that statement. You don’t have to be a famous man in order to judge right according to yourself. But you have to let the audience know about yourself enough so that you can earn its trust. I shall introduce myself to you for that purpose alone, because I want to earn your trust. However, I’m not afraid of failing, in which case I will probably try again, a different way. I am confident that I can earn the trust of good people. Meanwhile I’d not be disappointed to learn that I would be just preaching to the converted.
