Do we all need to stop being silent and tell them how we feel?

Now back to the purpose and motivation of this writing. In a series of notes I will try to describe what motivated me to start writing. It was almost desperation.

It is the fact that mainstream media and politician are downright insulting of a decent man’s intelligence. I felt not once that it is going beyond joke. I am addressing those of you who so far have not got a chance to see the world through different eyes but the eyes given to you by the establishment. The establishment has lost my trust. I trusted the establishment and I wasn’t naïve. But I believe the establishment has changed for the worse in recent times. Losing someone’s trust is worse than never having it. The establishment has become arrogant and insulting to the good people it supposes to protect and support. The symbiotic relationship which brings harmony and prosperity for all is definitely broken. Let’s not forget that we still bear responsibility to our children, to ourselves, to humanity, to life itself. We bear the responsibility to do something about what is going now in the world. Don’t worry, I’m not another Karl Marx, I’m not another Lenin, I’m not Hitler (that was my cat) and definitely I’m not Stalin or Danton, so just read on.

Just noticed that I write in a very personal manner, giving, unwillingly, the impression that I am the best friend of my audience. That’s not the case. You guys are not my friends but I have an interest that you put on my glasses, to see what I see and then maybe your opinion and consequently the actions would change. Then I’d feel safer and more fulfilled. That is the purpose of my writing.

Where do I start? What is all this fuss I’m making about? It is about the world and about our place in it in the near future. The collapse of communism is an historic phenomena without similar precedent. Twenty five years later we still see broken countries in the east of Europe. But now there’s Marlboro and Coca Cola and McDonalds to be had. Marvellous! I’m not just being nostalgic and foolish in my upfront sarcasm. I love those things myself. I even enjoy them (some more than others) from time to time and the Marlboro many times a day.
